Course Overview:
Would you like a further immersion in Talk for Writing? As with all our courses, we will take you into classrooms to see high-quality teaching and Talk for Writing in action. This course is aimed at teachers who like a deeper immersion into the Talk for Writing process – Imitation, Innovation and Independent Application. It is particularly useful to teachers who are new to Talk for Writing.

Course Content:
- An overview of the TfW process and its impact on raising standards.
- A rich immersion in classrooms to see TfW being taught throughout the school.
- A deeper understanding of the 3Is – Imitation, Innovation and Independent Application
- A question and answer session with teachers and leaders.
- An opportunity to look at books and chat with children.
About Lucy Foster:
Lucy Foster is passionate about instilling a love of reading and writing in people of all ages. As an English subject leader at Warren Road, she has worked hard to design and develop an English curriculum where all children are able to thrive.
She brings a wealth of Talk for Writing and Talk for Reading experience across all key stages and is particularly passionate about Talk for Reading, having helped to develop and refine the approach through her own classroom practice. She is committed to sharing her knowledge and first-hand experiences to support others.
