For ECT’s and more experienced staff across the primary age range. This half day course will provide a sound
introduction into understanding the nature of Executive Functioning and how these skills impact on every aspect of everyday life. Many children, especially those with ASC and ADHD struggle with these crucial skills and so it is essential to support their independence through practice and adaptation. We will look at each of the key EF skills and QFT adaptations as well as approaches for home which over time should help children to become more independent and better able to recognise, organise, plan and succeed without an over reliance on others and the impact this has on their self-esteem and opportunities as they grow older.
