For ECT’s and experienced staff across the entire age range. This half day course will provide a sound introduction into understanding the experience of neurodivergent girls. It is only in recent years that differences in presentation between males and females have been better understood, identified earlier and more accurately diagnosed. Late or misidentification has seen girls denied the understanding and early intervention crucial to reducing barriers, building a greater sense of identity and self as well as supporting their relationships and ‘Authentic self’. This session will explore the neurodevelopmental differences between girls and boys on the Spectrum and core, successful approaches.
