Course Overview:
This termly forum is designed to ensure that subject leaders and teachers across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 are kept informed of the latest initiatives and understand best practice. Each session will include a training focus as well as an open forum for discussion.

Course Content:
- An update of key publications, research and guidance from the DfE and OFSTED.
- Discussions around the role of the subject leader in the management of PE.
- Exploration into statutory assessment at the end of EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Innovative ideas to take back to school to support staff CPD.
- A chance to and share best practice in the teaching and leading of PE.
About Kate Petty:
Kate Petty is a Physical Education specialist, with 20 years teaching experience, in mainstream Primary and Secondary and is currently Head of PE and Physical Development at a SEND school in Bromley. Kate works with the Youth Sport Trust as part of the Lead Inclusion School network and is passionate about the learning that can be achieved through this subject. During her career she has delivered CPD as part of Bromley’s teacher training as well as working with education settings on specific training needs of staff.
