Science Forums

Course Overview:
This termly forum is designed to ensure that teachers across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 are kept informed of the latest initiatives and understand best practice. Each session will include a training focus as well as an open forum for discussion.

Course Content:

  • An update of key publications, research and guidance from the DfE and OFSTED.
  • Discussions around the role of the subject leader in the management of science.
  • Exploration into statutory assessment at the end of EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
  • Innovative ideas to take back to school to support staff CPD.
  • A chance to network and share best practice in the teaching and leading of science.

About Tamara Fletcher:
Tamara has been leading science at Warren Road since 2004. During this time, she was a Science Advisor for Bromley and ran regular courses and Forums for Warren Road Teaching School Hub. She is currently working for STEM facilitating their CPD primary program for the London Science Learning Partnership as well as running an ENTHUSE programme in South East London. She has been on the PiXL Science Team for several years and loves having the opportunity to share her experiences and enthusiasm for all things SCIENCE.
