Course Overview:
Our open mornings offer an insight into the Talk for Writing process and are aimed at both leaders and teachers. Delegates will gain an understanding of the three I’s – Innovation, Imitation and Independent Application as well as being immersed within classrooms across the Key Stages.

Course Content:
- See Talk for Writing in action in EYFS, KS1 & KS2.
- Talk to teachers and children.
- Hear from Talk for Writing leaders on how to lead the programme effectively in school.
- Have a fiction unit talked through from KS1 & KS2.
About Nicole Piper:
Nicole Piper leads Literacy at Warren Road Primary School. She brings a wealth of T4W experience across all key stages. She is passionate about instilling a love of English in people of all ages and thrives on raising standards through inspirational training and development.
About Lucy Foster:
Lucy leads literacy at Warren Road Primary School. She has been teaching for 9 years and has a wealth of experience in both Year 5 and Year 6. She is extremely passionate about sharing her love of writing, both in the classroom and through the range of CPD courses that she offers, and she has seen first-hand the phenomenal impact that TfW can have on a child’s writing journey.
Reading is another of her passions. Over the past couple of years, she has been part of a team, working with Pie Corbett, Julia Strong and Jamie Thomas, to trial and develop the Talk for Reading approach at Warren Road. Recently, one of her Year 5 planning units was published in the TfR book.
